Inspired by my daughter Asmara, I wanted to create a blanket chest which was light & feminine.
To do this I have used fine timber slats to create a woven texture. I have also used some traditional arts and craft features, for example, the Ebonised Green & Green details at the Breadboard ends.
The blanket chest looks just as comfortable in a sitting room as it does in a bedroom.

| Timbers Used | I have used various timbers when making this chest in the past. I like to have a contrast between the legs & breadboard ends & carcass & top. If possible I like to keep the contrast within the same family of timbers. For Example, Scrub Beef Wood & Silky Oak. |
